Major General Robin Anderton-Brown
Robin is a results-driven senior executive with a proven track record of leadership, capability development and innovation across Defence and Security sectors.
Robin commissioned as an Army Officer into the Royal Signals and completed a distinguished 30-year military career. He commanded at the Brigade level and is experienced at leading multi-disciplinary teams of military personnel from across the Services and civil servants. His career highlights include delivering cutting edge technology solutions and leading digital transformation initiatives in some of the world’s most challenging environments. He served overseas on deployments to Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, under UK national, UN, and NATO missions.
Robin has played a pivotal role in the procurement and delivery of major military equipment projects, overseeing substantial investments. Most notably, as Director for Capability in UK Strategic Command, he was responsible for Defence’s most complex and diverse portfolio, focusing on pan-Defence digital, intelligence, specialist and strategic enabling capabilities. Additionally, he spearheaded a Defence-level change programme to enhance integration and interoperability across Land, Sea, Air, Space, and Cyber domains. His leadership extended to international collaboration, where he chaired the multi-national Board focused on improving communications interoperability among UK, US, Australian, Canadian, and New Zealand Armed Forces.
Having recently left the military, Robin has founded a UK-based consultancy to help businesses understand Defence requirements and expand their footprint in national and international security markets, combining strategic insight with hands-on experience to foster growth.
Outside of his professional career, Robin serves as Chair of Trustees for Team Forces, a charity dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, and their families to undertake sporting and adventurous endeavours. He is a keen road cyclist and enjoys mountaineering, running and endurance challenges. Robin is married to Samantha and is the proud father of two grown daughters.
