John Wharton is a career Civil servant and has worked across a number of technical and project roles since joining the MOD.  Highlights include two Defence procurement awards for work within special projects and working with the US to introduce a new submarine communication system.  He has worked as an architect since 2018 with a focus on military applications, C2 and targeting.   He has been working on the Digital Targeting Web since 2025.
