Please find below some useful information for setting up your stand at the Telford International Centre (TIC)

When can I set up?

There are 3 opportunities to set up:

  1. Tuesday 31 October between 15.00 and 18.00
  2. Wednesday 1 November between 12.00 and 18.00
  3. *Thursday 2 November between 07.30 and 09.30

*This is by exception only, and prior approval should be requested from info@sdsc-uk.co.uk

Will there be any networking on Tuesday 31 October?

On Tuesday 31 October we will be holding a Welcome Drinks fro 17.30 - 19.30 in the Telford International Centre, which is complimentary for all Visitors and Exhibitors who hold a valid SDSC-UK access pass for either Day One and/or Day Two.

Please book your tickets in advance in the Exhibitor Registration portal.

On your arrival you will be provided with your complimentary drinks voucher.

Do I need to wear my Exhibitor or Contractor Official SDSC-UK 2023 badge?

Yes, an Official SDSC-UK 2023 Exhibitor or Contractor badge must be worn at all times.

To collect your badge, please review your first day of arrival information, below.

If your day of first arrival is Tuesday 31 October:

For those setting up Exhibition stands on Tuesday 31 October, you will arrive via Gate B, and access the building via roller shutter doors at Hall 3.

A steward will check your name and identity and the steward will arrange for your badge to be printed and brought to you.

If your day of first arrival is Wednesday 1 November:

1.  For those arriving from 08.00 and first attending the MOD Special Projects Industry Day on Wednesday 1 November, you will arrive via Gate A, and enter via Entrance 1 (or Entrance 4 if you have stayed in one of the on-site hotels the previous night), attend the Registration desks and print your badge at the registration kiosks.

This will provide you with access to Exhibition Hall 3 from 12 noon - 18.00 on Wednesday 1 November.

2.  For those arriving from 12noon to set up your exhibition stand, you will arrive via Gate B, and access the building via roller shutter doors at Hall 3.

A steward will check your name and identity and the steward will arrange for your badge to be printed and brought to you.

If your day of first arrival is Thursday 2 November:

You will arrive via Gate A, and enter via Entrance 1 (or Entrance 4 if you have stayed in one of the on-site hotels the previous night), attend the Registration desks and print your badge at the registration kiosks. There is no access via the roller shutter doors to Hall 3 and all items must be carried through the main building.

If I am installing an internal vehicle, a large/heavy object for which I need a fork lift truck or building a 'space only' build, what do I need to do?

You will need to book a time slot to access the site for build up which will be on Tuesday 31 October between 08.00 - 10.00.

Your time slot must be booked in advance of the show with our shell scheme company, TTEC. Please contact info@totalevent.co.uk to book your slot.

We will also advise you when you will be able to access the building for break down on Thursday 2 November.

I need a fork lift truck to move my equipment, what do I need to do?

First, book your time slot via info@sdsc-uk.co.uk to access the venue, as above.

Then access the StagecraftUK portal, where you will be able to book your fork lift truck.

Do I need to let anyone know I have Contractors coming on-site?

Contractors must book a time slot in advance of the show with our shell scheme company, TTEC. Please contact info@totalevent.co.uk to book your slot.

How early can I send things for the stand to the TIC?

Due to limited storage space, the TIC has asked that nothing be delivered before Monday 30th October.

What documentation do I need to put on my parcels?

Please ensure that you put this label on all parcels that are being delivered to the TIC, this will help ensure your parcel is reunited with you in a timely manner.

Do my Contractors need to be registered?

Yes, you will be able to register your contractors through your Exhibitor Portal

Where is the loading bay for exhibitors, including those who are self-building stands and what are the parking details for build and breakdown times? 

Exhibition set up: Please see above for access Gates and entrances for each of the Exhibition set up days.

Exhibition break down: For break down on Thursday 2 November, vehicles should proceed to Hall 3 either via internal routes or by exiting Car Park A, and following the external signs to Car Park B.

Parking for Exhibitors is free of charge whilst parked in Car Park B.

Car parking for Exhibitors who also hold a valid ticket for the MOD SP Industry Day 1 November and who park in Car Park A is free of charge.

Parking for Exhibitors who park in Car Park A on either Wednesday 1 November and who do not hold a valid ticket for the MOD SP Industry Day and/or Thursday 2 November is chargeable by the venue at £7 per car, per day.

Are there any restrictions on which couriers we can use?

The simple answer is no, however, we do ask that you email info@sdsc-uk.co.uk and let us know the following, so we can let the TIC know:

  • Which Company you are using
  • When the delivery is expected
  • A list of what you are expecting to be delivered

When is Exhibitor Breakdown?

Exhibitor breakdown starts at 16.30 and ends at 18.00 on Thursday 2 November.

When do we need to have things collected at the end of the show?

All Exhibitor equipment needs to be broken down and removed by 18.00 on Thursday 2 November. 

For any small packages, the latest we can keep them at TIC is Friday 3 November no later than 12.00 noon.

Please ensure that any courier collections have a TIC collections label on them. You can find the label here
