Cyber in Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire has the largest cluster of cyber security companies outside of London and is home to GCHQ and The National Cyber Security Centre.

As the demand for cyber security solutions increases with the rise of cyber-attacks, highlighting a diverse range of vulnerabilities, Gloucestershire is well positioned to provide cyber businesses with the infrastructure, resources and network to facilitate high growth and access to investment.

There are considerable high-quality assets and growth prospects in Gloucestershire and with the planned Cyber Park at the Golden Valley Development on the horizon, the county promises to be the new ‘Silicon Valley’ for cyber.

CyNam is the independent regional cluster who are advancing the local cyber community. With over 900 members, they provide a platform for innovation, collaboration and knowledge exchange for the cyber technology industry. CyNam’s burgeoning community consists of the region’s developing tech and cyber security businesses, professional services, and some of the country’s leading industry experts

Invest in Gloucestershire, who are part of the GFirst Local Enterprise Partnership, showcases the best that Gloucestershire has to offer to the international business community and encourages growth through inward investment.

Gloucestershire is the premier destination for cyber-tech businesses that are leading innovation in the sector. With a deep mix of business experience, the county has over 1,100 people employed in the cyber security cluster and nearly 2,000 students studying in relevant subjects.

The cluster’s strategic location is pivotal, it is the gateway that connects North and South, and London is less than two hours away with major airports easily accessible. The graduate pool is strengthened by cyber security specific courses and world-class research centres, with a further 18 universities in easy reach of the county.

Invest in Gloucestershire in collaboration with CyNam are delighted to be attending 3CDSE and will demonstrate the cyber offer in Gloucestershire for those businesses looking to expand and grow.

Phil Clement, Head of Inward investment said ‘we are really looking forward to exhibiting at the expo this year and signpost businesses to the really exciting developments that are taking place in Gloucestershire’s cyber cluster. There will be an abundance of leading technology specialists and innovators at 3CDSE and we are very much looking forward to talking to them about the opportunities available for their businesses in this influential and beautiful part of the world.’
